Deep Thoughts - Who Am I?

Everyday counts is his motto but who is Dominique? A young self proclaimed rapper born Dominique L. Lee in a rugged neighbor that most would consider to be an environment that only the strong could survive. When Dominique surfaced the city was in for a treat, a young laid back family oriented single father with hidden talents with limited resources of what it took to not become another statistic,yet another over achiever with a dominate persona that made his perception a reality. But the question remains who is Dominique? An outlier that endured the harsh reality of transitioning into a world that was never meant for him, his aspirations were submerged by the life choices he made yet overcame obstacles that only the weak would face. Using fitness as a distraction to face his own battles and wars and turn them into triumphs a great victory he had no intentions of seeking. Looking in the mirror uncovering the scars of life helped him to change his identity within his own reflection being able to bare witness to his real passion and love for music gave him motivation which later turn into a lifestyle of determination to pursue his dream.

He educated himself attended college to turn over a new leaf song writing, producing and marketing his music developing his own brand to channel is image in a more positive light. Creating a dynamic sound that feeds the soul of his paranormal activity in his everyday life inspired by real life chain of events digging deeper in situations he had been exposed to. In 2012 he incorporated his name to be Iamdominiquelee ,LLC to perfect his talent as a rapper/song writer with positive encouragement from family and friends he began to find his voice through his music. Having the mindset to be different but create and paved a way to expand his craft he set out to be the first rookie in the inner city of Louisville Kentucky toward launching his own record label formerly known as five star entertainment. Using it as a force to lead up and coming artist in a direction where he could invest his time into other musicians without acknowledging that he to possess the same ability to sing/rap the dream that made him stand tall now fully awake waiting, anticipating his next move with the influence and resemblance to drake, a man that lives vicariously through his music limitless unique cut from a different cloth that no challenge was to hard or to great taken by a visionary such as himself.

​His lyrics fill in the blanks of the man he has become vs. the man he use to be establishing his new found label dedicated to himself " No sleep mafia, LLC, now making an imprint across social media unexpectedly now thousands of loyal fans have become fascinated with his autobiography sang and rapped in his life of trial and error now making a name that not only he knows but millions . He learned that his life as a rapper and father is now more than a one man show, with the presents of his daughter surrounded by inspiration and creativity to become her role model he knew he needed to make a huge impact in her life to play a role only a father could portray being her first love as his love for music. Listening to his music imagine.. Close your eyes and mentally walk in his foot steps from the past to understand his future. What seemed to spark memories that where often attached to his image then and now taking on responsibilities beyond his daughter but a son that he didn't create but established an unbreakable bond that separates DNA. To step into the lime light with only a plain white paper book and pen is where he wrote down emotions, relationships, experiences, secrets and turning it into a sound which some would say " his words are the perfect verse over a tight beat. That uncovers his true desires, the writings on the wall to only see that sometimes you have to loose your mind to hear your soul speak to you. With the arrival of his daughter it was clear that the smallest moments happen to be the biggest and at that moment he thought he was saving his life from the streets but in reality she was saving him.
