The Journey Of A Gem
~Living In Your Truths~
While success is impressive, a person's life story can make it seem that achieving greatness would be impossible. Being born into an unknown world with many obstacles and with no instructions somehow can contribute towards the growth of a person helping to create a foundation that could never be broken. Living in your truths can restore any imperfections and create new chapters of life that not everyone would be strong enough to read out loud. Once the world heard his voice and his message, his growth was exponential. It was the vibrations that music brought that created a sound that molded Corey Evans into C.O with nothing to lose because his passion outweighed the challenges of being an independent black entertainer living on his terms and conditions. Transitioning from a dreamer to a leader wasn't easy but it was the only way to showcase the greatness that he embodied at an early age.
Born and raised in Miami Florida, and growing up in North Dade was not typically a place where people on the outside looked in saying that this was the land of opportunity and a place where stars are born. It was a place that was looked upon as an area of hustle, grind, and determination. Only the people that craved change and desired something greater could see the worth and what could happen if only someone would just stop and take a look from a bird's eye view to see the potential that was covered in the trenches. But for him, that fed his starving potential and gave it substance which helped him to create his ingredients toward who he’d become. He attended Hialeah Miami Lakes in his early stages of development as well as American Sr. High School. There his mother was an English teacher and the first to inspire his hidden talents. He had not yet discovered how and when they would come full circle.
Also experiencing discrimination appearing to be different being in a non-diverse environment which helped to form his character. However, unknowingly it helped him to understand all cultures and being able to find a place of peace which was a common goal he had written in stone for himself while still learning in acceptance for who people were and why. He stated, "DNA has memory, your dreams may be one of your ancestors who didn’t have the resources to bring them to life but through generations to come to be able to explore when the time was right.”He gravitated to the image of the unseen to find a way to be ok with who he saw when he looked into the mirror. Going from a boy to a man being able to identify who he was first before the world would be reintroduced to the man he is today.

~The Only Person On Earth~
Mastering the art of his anatomy his energy became intoxicating with leaving everyone he’d come in contact with by imprinting his DNA creating soul ties. For many, the question remains Who is Corey Evans? Half man half amazing it was at the tender age of 14 that his mom the matriarch of his upbringing showed him how to fight battles and how to be strong. It is what makes him a genius simply because a genius is not when you know it all, its when you can figure it all out which as she transitioned so did his childhood. In turn, increased his motivation in which his life became a movie and also a role not everyone could play in. He allowed himself to find out on his own what life was all about after the loss of his mother he began to see that the older he got having an out-of-body experience. He was also able to put himself in his shoes confidently knowing how to survive and failure was not an option. He also experienced a side of rebellion because though his father had other plans for his life like going to college becoming a doctor or lawyer. I quote “I never saw myself going down that road and I've always seen myself as an entertainer and there was no way I wasn’t going to be that, so from that I had to grow and it wasn't no feeling sorry for myself. I wanted to avoid hindering myself from any setbacks and learning to walk a straight line".
With that, he had created his way and worked hard on being an open book. Along the way taking key points he’d picked up from his parents on what they would expect from him now as he embraced his journey in being a creative/ entertainer which were very dominant moments that he was able to capture on his journey. Within the industry, he set the tone knowing that it was based on how people wanted everything to look so superficial to make sure someone is successful rather than being successful. He always wanted to be looked upon like the movie I Am Legend. I quote “I thought that if I was the only person on this earth why would it matter what I wore or care what other people would think of me I never was the fancy guy that would buy jewelry and cars just that look alone was not organic”.
As he was becoming a major producer on the rise focusing on managing himself not just a lifestyle. It wasn’t about the music that had him focused, it was still the dreamer inside of him that was so forthcoming in what he wanted to do and it was no changing that. No amount of money could change his crystal ball vision for his craft because art imitates life and life imitates art but it takes someone like C.O. to first create the illusions. LLCool J being the inspiration he wanted to reincarnate the same vibes with a Miami sound was the perfect mix over a hype beat which made his sound unique and unmatched. Just like other pioneers in the game in Miami like Uncle Luke he knew he had to level up and take it to the house for people across the world because what he had was a recipe that couldn't be duplicated so it was showtime.

~His Hustle Is Unmatched ~
For C.O from the backyard, talent shows and rapping and creating songs seeing the reactions from people was addicting and he wanted more. He reconnected with his old highschool creatives and they set out to establish a record label from there working with Def Jam and Traveling on tour with Joe Tory it was lights, camera, an action he made noise the doors started to open with being able to perform for Kid Kypree getting the crowd hyped and just one call away the rest was history. Working with “Joe Tory” from 1997-1998 also having other acts such as Nelly opening for “Shut up” with Slip N slide with the likes of Money Marv Tre + 6. Making some of the hottest records out of the closet which made more noise for Slip N Slide records C.O introduced the Miami sound.
They joined forces with Slip N Slide as the go-to producer who did all the beats on “ Trick Daddy’s albums and Trina's albums the diamond prince .“Pull Over it was nowhere to go but up from here". Ted owners of Slip N Slide brought “Trina” ( The Diamond Princess) to rap and put her on their first album “ Tech Life”, My Baby momma C.O. was known for making game-changing moves and bringing talent to the studio. While working on “Trick Daddy’s” second album “Nann Ni**a” what seemed to be risky but his sound was priceless. CO was never scared of the words “No” that’s because he’s known for being a fearless leader. And I quote “ I wanted to prove to myself and everybody else that I could do it”. Although it's never been about the money for me I feel like we never got paid the right dues and still don’t. However for CO “Trick Daddy” was just raw, uncut, and talented but it was “Tre +6 “ sound as well as Money Mark that made history. CO is charismatic and has never been afraid to share the light and with his unmatched hustle it has been one of his biggest assets towards his career and that’s what sets him apart from many producers. In his words, “You will never be successful if someone is doing the same thing you're doing but they are working harder than you”.
With an unending desire to succeed CO finally broke through when he was given a chance to showcase who he was and being taken seriously by all walks of life that he’s encountered. So I know you are now wondering “ Why The Art Of Noise”? His reply “ Because I believed in KD she inspired me and stayed on me saying you need to do this. KD believed in me enough and what is gonna hurt from me doing it and if I don't do it what's going to change. I thrive for art and I wanna see what you bring to the table. I want to be the first to reintroduce to you CaptionCO9 aka CO Welcome to The Art OF Noise Family.
